Day 167: What Rules You?

You can be under the dominion of any situation or circumstance or factor or symptom or emotion in your life. You can let anger or fear or discouragement rule you, if you decide to. And if you decide not to, they do not have to. You do not need to be under them, but you have to make a decision. Every person here has a sin which particularly easily besets us. It’s not the same, but the Bible says, Let us lay aside the sin which does so easily beset us. You said, “You mean that I can lay it aside?” Without faith in Christ and without the promises of the word of God, absolutely not. But on the basis of what God has promised in His word, yes. The moment you choose you can do it.
