How Wicked is Sin

But sin, that it might appear sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that sin through the commandment might become exceedingly sinful. In other words, the result of the commandment is to bring sin out into the open and show us just how wicked, and how, how wicked it is and how powerless we are to deal with it. That’s the purpose of the commandment. There are other purposes, but that’s the primary one.
