Sri Lanka continues to face significant challenges following the economic crisis from 2019-2022, which led to severe shortages of food, fuel, and other necessities. Coupled with this, there have been restrictions on freedom of expression, while the Christian community, making up 7.4% of the population, continues to suffer persecution from Buddhists, Hindus, and local governments.

Due to the lack of Bible teaching and the influx of false doctrines, Derek Prince Ministries focuses on bringing Derek’s sound, in-depth Bible-based teaching to the church that urgently needs God’s Word. This mission aims to keep the fire of His Spirit burning among believers.

Reaching out primarily to Christian leaders through conferences and seminars, Derek Prince Ministries equips them with essential resources—books and audio teachings in local languages. This helps their churches grow in Christ-like maturity and encourages them to send out their own people to bring the light of the Gospel into the darkness surrounding their communities. One pastor testified that his church grew to a congregation of 400 by understanding how to expel demons through Derek's teaching, freeing people from demonic bondages and bringing them into the light of freedom in Christ.
