Pastor “D”, DPM-Vietnam Coordinator, writes:
I want to share the incredible things God is doing here in Vietnam. For years, my team and I have been traveling across the country—through bustling cities, remote villages, and even places where faith in Christ is not welcome. We held 12 Gospel outreaches in six regions in December alone! More than 1,000 people heard the Gospel, and over 150 adults and 300 children committed to Christ. We saw lives transformed, families restored, and even divine healings.
Despite challenges of religious restrictions, persecution and cultural barriers, the gospel continues to spread and Derek’s teaching is making a lasting impression in churches, communities, and the lives of individual believers across the country.
Lives Transformed by the Gospel
One of the most powerful stories I have witnessed is that of Aaron. He came from a broken home, carrying deep wounds from abuse. Like so many others, he turned to alcohol to numb the pain. But when a friend invited him to one of our Gospel outreaches, something changed. That night, Aaron gave his life to Jesus.
His decision cost him dearly—his family rejected him, forcing him to leave his home. But God was faithful. Through our two-year Bible course, Aaron found healing and deliverance. His heart softened, and over time, so did the hearts of his parents. Today, he is not just restored—he is one of our ministry leaders, reaching others who are lost, just as he once was.
Testimonies from Pastors and Leaders
The impact of Derek Prince’s teaching materials is reaching far beyond individual conversions. One pastor who attended our seminar shared:
“Before this, I struggled to teach my congregation effectively. The clarity and depth of Derek’s books have transformed my approach. Now, my church is growing in understanding and faith.”
Another pastor took the challenge of discipleship seriously. After attending one of our training sessions, he immediately started a Bible study group using Derek’s materials. That group has now grown into multiple house churches, where believers are discipled and equipped to spread the Gospel further.
One church leader testified, “Derek’s book ‘Self Study Bible Course’ helped me understand God’s Word like never before. I have now started using it to train new believers, and I see them growing in faith and confidence.” The hunger for solid biblical teaching is real, and Derek’s Bible materials are meeting that need.
The Dual Approach: Reaching the Lost & Equipping Leaders
The church in Vietnam struggles with a shortage of well-translated teaching and a lack of support to pastors. That’s why our mission in Vietnam has two vital parts. First, we go into remote villages and hard-to-reach areas, bringing the Gospel to those who have never heard it. Many of these individuals live in spiritual darkness, with no access to Christian teaching or fellowship. Through evangelistic outreaches, they hear about Jesus for the first time, experience His power, and surrender their lives to Him.
Second, we focus on training pastors and leaders. When we equip a pastor, we equip an entire congregation. By providing them with Derek Prince’s teaching materials, we ensure that they are grounded in the Word and able to disciple others. One trained pastor can raise up dozens of leaders, who in turn can reach hundreds more.
The Urgency of the Mission
We cannot do this alone. There are still 94 million people in Vietnam who do not know Jesus. I am asking please for your prayers and financial support to continue this vital mission. With your gift, Derek’s Bible teaching can be translated and distributed in Vietnam, Christian leaders trained, and new believers discipled. Here’s how your gift can make an impact:
- The average cost to hold a seminar is NZ$800
- We also need to reprint 18,000 more books for a total cost of NZ$13,500.
- Or, you may be able to consider sponsoring one of our 10 pastor/evangelists costing just NZ$165 each per month ($1,980 each per year, these donations are tax deductible in NZ).

Huy Ly, DPM-Cambodia Director, writes:
Eight hours on the road. Dusty paths winding through rice fields, potholes deep enough to rattle the bones, and the relentless heat of the Cambodian sun. This is what it takes to reach Trapeang Prasat, a small town in the remote Oddar Meanchey province near the Thai border. But for my team and me, these challenges are nothing compared to the spiritual hunger we find when we arrive.
Pastor Ouk Pisom was just one of around 45 pastors attending the seminar. The teaching we shared from Derek’s book What's So Important About the Cross? deeply impacted him, and he was moved by the clear and heartfelt revelation of God’s grace and love through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Following the seminar, he told me:
“The book ‘What's So Important About the Cross?’ has profoundly impacted my ministry. The newfound revelations I gained have strengthened my faith and ministry, empowering me to share the good news of God's love with others. It serves as a constant reminder that the focus of my ministry should be centered on the finished work of Jesus Christ, not on my own efforts or the efforts of my congregation. As a pastor, I am committed to ensuring that my church remains steadfast in their faith, rooted in the grace of God and not in their own works. By emphasizing the importance of the cross, I hope to guard my congregation against the deceptive tactics of the enemy.”
The remote provinces of Cambodia present unique challenges for Christian ministry. With a limited number of churches and relatively small Christian populations, the local pastors and Christian leaders face the ongoing task of strengthening their faith and reaching out to their communities. Many of the pastors have had no formal Bible college training and lack Christian resources for their own study and edification. That’s why the seminars we hold for pastors and Christian leaders each month are crucial for equipping these pastors with the Word of God.
Here's How You Can Help
- Each seminar for around 50 pastors and Christian leaders costs NZ$1,900. Would you please prayerfully consider making a gift toward the cost of these to help pastors like Ouk Pisom be trained in the Word of God.
- We need to reprint 20,000 books in the Khmer language totalling NZ$22,500.
- We are helping to raise funds for a new vehicle is needed by the team for travelling long distances on challenging roads to remote villages in different provinces where they hold teaching seminars for pastors, along with Gospel outreaches. Essential equipment and teaching resources are also transported in the vehicle. The cost is NZ$35,600.
