Amid today’s many physical battles, it seems God is preparing His armies for critical spiritual conflicts as well. This sense was strong within us as Danny and I ministered to nearly 225 pastors and leaders gathered for a two-day conference in southern Chennai.
In 2021, we had ministered to a smaller group of pastors from three districts in this region. Blessed by our initial teachings on The Divine Exchange and Curse to Blessing, they expressed a desire to dive deeper and requested our return. This time, they managed to assemble pastors and leaders from eleven districts.
In early September, we traveled to these meetings and taught extensively over two full days on Authority (drawing on Derek’s teaching on the Rod of God), The Power of Proclamation, and Spiritual Warfare. The hunger for these teachings was evident: attendees returned promptly after breaks, fully engaged during sessions. Many recorded the teachings on their mobile phones, while others took notes fervently, absorbing every word.
One of the pastors commented:
"Today, I gained a profound understanding of the spiritual sacrifices we, as priests of God, are called to offer. It was eye-opening, as I had never previously considered these sacrifices or our responsibility to present them."
He was deeply impacted by the teaching on Authority.
Over the two days, it was inspiring to witness the shifts God was bringing to the mindsets of many pastors: We often think we can accomplish things and run our ministries through our own efforts, but over the past two days, I’ve learned that my victory doesn’t come from what I do, but from what Christ has already accomplished on the cross at Calvary.
The impact will not stop with the pastors but will go further as is evident from this pastor’s testimony:
"This teaching was incredibly valuable to me, both personally and for my ministry. Learning about the four spiritual weapons was truly encouraging, giving me the confidence that I too can overcome the enemy. I am eager to bring this teaching back to my congregation and equip them to fight the good fight."
During the final session of the conference, as we prayed and led the pastors in spiritual warfare for Tamil Nadu and beyond, we could truly sense a breakthrough in the heavenly realms. At the close of that powerful prayer, the chief pastor who organized the conference stepped up to the dais and testified:
"We often try to take ownership of the things God does through us, but this reminded me of the greater power in fully committing to His will. Additionally, knowing that Christ has given us all power—not just on earth, but over the kingdom of Satan in the heavenlies—was incredibly encouraging and filled me with joy. I am returning with the confidence that, by stepping into my authority in Him, I will see my community brought to Christ."
We then traveled about 150 kilometers further south to a place called Gingee. The conference here was held in a rural community, and we had some doubts about whether many pastors would make the effort to travel so far. To our surprise, nearly 80 pastors from seven districts arrived at the venue, many riding out on bikes and bicycles.
One pastor’s wife was healed as she listened to the teaching on the Divine Exchange, and she testified:
The message of the Cross truly strengthened me this morning. I have been dealing with a persistent allergic reaction, but today, as I listened to the teaching, I felt God’s power flow into my spirit through the words spoken. I have experienced complete healing and release in my body. I am renewed and deeply encouraged to continue my ministry, and reach many for Christ.
For many pastors, the teaching felt like God’s voice speaking directly to them, prompting introspection and helping them refine areas of their lives that were not aligned with the Word. It also brought fresh revelation and understanding to many.
One of the most encouraging testimonies shared at the conference by a pastor was this:
"The teaching on prosperity was truly an eye-opener. Often, coming from modest economic backgrounds, we equate prosperity with having lots of money. However, today we learned that true prosperity is about “having all our needs met at the point of our need.” Thank you for illustrating this so clearly through the life of Jesus—it drove the message home powerfully, transforming our thinking and reshaping our perspective. God bless you! You have truly brought us something valuable."
