On May 6th, we traveled to the remote Andaman Islands in the Bay of Bengal for a Youth Training Programme and pastors conference which was scheduled to be held in Port Blair.
We arrived in the afternoon and discovered that the venue we had booked for the youth training camp starting the next day had been mistakenly allocated to someone else due to a miscommunication among the facility staff. Despite many challenges, the Lord answered our prayers, and by 10:30 p.m. we had secured a beautiful new location that fit our budget.
Training began the next day as planned, with fifty young people from various parts of the Andaman Islands participating. Their expectations were of a typical youth camp, but as they realized that this camp was building them up as leaders, they were deeply touched by the teaching.
Despite the sweltering 37°C summer heat and pouring sweat, they listened attentively and participated with great enthusiasm. By the end of the first day, the Lord had begun to speak to many about their callings.
On day two, a sense of dedication arose among them, along with a growing desire to become vessels used by God. On day three, as we laid hands on them and prayed, many experienced a new liberty, and the Holy Spirit descended powerfully upon them. Many were moved and dedicated themselves, with tears, to serve the Lord.
One young person testified: “I was truly challenged by the Word as it was presented here. It was mind-boggling to think that we have been scratching the surface all this time, while there is so much depth to the Word, that would enable us to live victorious lives beginning from the days of our youth.”
Another young girl who had been sick until the day prior to the camp testified: “The GP said I needed a blood transfusion because I was very weak, but my mom literally dragged me out of the hospital and said, ‘Just go to the youth camp; I know the Lord will set you free.’” On the very first day, she was so happy that her mom did that, as she began to hear the Lord speak to her. When we laid hands on her, she fell under the power of the Holy Spirit, but rose to her feet and testified she felt a big weight had lifted off her heart. Hallelujah!
On Friday May 10th, approximately 120 pastors, including many women missionaries and pastors’ wives, attended the pastors’ conference where we taught on Spiritual Warfare.
At the end of the seminar, many pastors testified about the new insights they had gained. One pastor said: “I was going through a personal battle but as I sat through the teaching today, I received the Word that set me free and brought me liberty in my spirit.”
Another senior pastor and Bible teacher testified, “I've been teaching and preaching the Word for over 32 years, but for the first time, I have clarity about the warfare in the heavenly realms and a new perspective on spiritual warfare. The revelation of our authority to bind and loose in those realms was also new to me.”
On May 12th, we participated in two Sunday services and shared God's Word. The first service was at our host church, Shiloh Church. Pastor Dasarath, the senior pastor, joyfully shared that the Word was beneficial and prophetic for the church. He said with great happiness, "God spoke to us through you."
The second service was at Maranatha Church, where we shared the Word and prayed for people, with many of them experiencing mighty deliverances. One of them was a woman bound by a spirit of infirmity that caused seizures; she was miraculously set free from the demonic oppression.
