Dear Friend,

If you grew up in a Christian home, you know what a privilege it is to be surrounded by your parents’ prayers. But things were quite different for Alina, who grew up in a non-Christian home in Belarus.

Soon after she got married, Alina’s father-in-law left his wife for another woman. But the woman he had met was a quarrelsome person who put a curse on all of his relatives.

An Outbreak Of Problems

From that time onward, Alina’s family started to fall apart. Her son became seriously ill. Her daughter couldn’t get out of bed in the mornings. And her husband began to have suicidal thoughts.

That kind of scenario is not uncommon in the former Soviet Republics. Many people in Belarus, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and elsewhere in the former Soviet Republics struggle to make sense of life without God.

Often, they are searching for spiritual breakthroughs—but in the wrong places, just like Alina did.

In Alina’s case, as she tried to find solutions for the troubles of her loved ones, she became fascinated with magic. She started to consult with witches, asking them to break the curses hanging over her family.

But everything just continued to get worse.

Alina's Faith Story

God used a local Christian lady and Derek Prince’s teaching to transform the situation in Alina’s family. One day, a neighbor told her:

“I have been praying about you, and God told me to come and see you. I want to speak to you about Jesus—because He is the only one who can break the curses on your family.”

At first, Alina was skeptical about what her neighbor said about Jesus. But her resistance didn’t last long. Too tired to fight her problems alone, Alina invited Jesus into her life.

“Isn’t it amazing how God accepted me? He called me by name and has blessed me and my family beyond my wildest dreams. As I read my Bible and prayed, God purified my selfish and proud heart. He healed my wounds and protected me and my family.”

A Key Component

Thanks to the ongoing generosity of DPM supporters like you, Alina was able to obtain a free copy of Derek Prince’s book, Blessing or Curse: You Can Choose. That was the key for her and her family.

While reading Derek’s book, Alina repented of her sin of seeking help in the wrong places. But more importantly, she learned how to break the curses on her family using God’s powerful and life-changing Word.

Today, Alina and her family are walking with the Lord. On a daily basis, she and her husband are surrounding their children with prayers.

Touching People's Lives

Your participation in the lives of the dear people of the former Soviet Republics is absolutely vital right now. With your help, we can put Derek’s life-changing Bible teaching into the hands of new believers like Alina, as well as our co-workers in countries like Belarus, Tajikistan, Armenia, and Russia.

Your generous gift today can ensure that missionaries and church leaders in places like Kalmykia, a Buddhist region in Russia, can continue to grow into strong disciples of Jesus.

Until recently, there were no churches in Kalmykia. But in the last few years, hundreds of Kalmyks have come to Christ. Today, these new Christians are discovering the truths of God’s Word using Foundations for Christian Living and other valuable books by Derek Prince.

Will You Help?

Would you consider sending a gift today of $30, $50, $100 or more to help DPM supply Bible teaching for these needy people? Whatever amount you can give today will ensure that outreach initiatives can continue—while the doors for distributing evangelistic resources in the former Soviet Republics are still open.

For example, your gift of $30 can put Derek’s teaching on prayer and fasting and spiritual warfare into the hands of a local church leader in the former Soviet Union.

A gift of $100 can make it possible for a group of new believers to unlock the power of Scripture through books like Blessing or Curse: You Can Choose.

Today, people like Alina who live in the former Soviet Republics are facing the consequences of the Russia-Ukraine war, inter-faith conflicts, poverty, and the rapid spread of Islam. At the same time, doors are opening for our workers to help people struggling with hopelessness. Our DPM team serves churches in this region by putting Derek’s teaching into their hands.

Together we can make the most of these opportunities. Many thanks for any gift you can make.

God's blessings,
