Equipping Believers

A blessed New Year from DPM-Cambodia!

We declare 2025 to be a year filled with peace, protection, and abundance and pray for many souls to be saved. We begin this new year with excitement and a heart overflowing with gratitude for the Lord’s protection in 2024.

December Outreaches

A highlight of 2024 was a series of impactful outreaches conducted in December. We partnered with local churches in various regions, including Battambang and Oddar Meanchey provinces, and a remote floating village on Tonle Sap Lake. A deep sense of purpose drove these outreaches: to proclaim the love and salvation of Jesus Christ to the lost and forgotten.

Mission with the Shepherd’s Heart

The parable of the lost sheep continually reminded us of the shepherd’s relentless pursuit of the one lamb who strayed. This powerful image fueled our mission to reach out to those who are lost and disconnected from God’s love. We are grateful for the privilege of serving alongside these dedicated local churches and for the opportunities to share the transformative message of the Gospel with those who need it most.

The Hard Ground Has Been Broken in a Remote Village

The outreach to Tropeng Brasat Village in Oddar Meanchey province was a truly unique experience. This initiative, spearheaded by the Provincial Pastors’ Committee, demonstrated remarkable unity and strategic planning. Recognizing the spiritual needs of this unreached community, they invited the DPM-Cambodia team to partner with them in this significant endeavour to deliver DPM books and preach the Gospel.

Despite the challenges of reaching this remote location, over 500 villagers attended the outreach event. While the number of individuals accepting Christ may have been less than initially anticipated (32), we believe this marks the beginning of a significant spiritual movement in this community. The ground has been broken, and the seeds of the Gospel have been sown. We trust this will be the catalyst for continued spiritual growth and establishing a vibrant local church.

This experience reinforced the importance of collaboration and unity among believers. Witnessing the dedication and commitment of the local pastors was truly inspiring. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with them in fulfilling the Great Commission.

Proclaiming the Gospel to the Provincial Governor in Battambang Province

A Christmas evangelistic outreach was held in Battambang province and again was led by the Provincial Pastors’ Committee.

The decision to invite provincial government officials, including the Governor, to this event was a significant step. While there was initial apprehension, the pastors’ unity and collaborative spirit ensured a smooth and successful event.

The DPM-Cambodia team played a crucial role in preparing for this outreach, providing DPM teaching materials and Christmas gifts to enhance  the experience for all attendees. The event drew a  significant crowd of approximately 300 people.

While the primary goal of reaching the Governor with the Gospel was achieved, the ultimate measure of success lies in the hearts and minds of those who encountered the message of Christ. This outreach was a powerful reminder of sharing the Gospel with everyone, regardless of their social status or position.

Floating Village Outreach

The outreach to the floating village on Tonle Sap Lake was a truly remarkable experience.

Traveling deeper into the lake, we encountered a vibrant community of thousands of families living on the water. The dry season provided ideal conditions for the outreach, allowing for smoother travel and easier access to the village.

The chosen location, despite its size, proved inadequate to accommodate the overwhelming response. Hundreds of villagers gathered, with some even watching and listening from outside the building. This unexpected turnout speaks volumes about the spiritual hunger within this community.

Our DPM team’s focus on proclaiming the Gospel, coupled with the distribution of proclamation cards and booklets, proved highly effective. Witnessing numerous individuals respond to the message of salvation was an awe-inspiring experience. Sometimes, we don’t understand how it works, but it became clear that the Holy Spirit was at work, drawing people to the outreach and preparing their hearts to receive the Gospel.

The collaboration with local pastors ensures these new believers receive ongoing discipleship and support. This outreach serves as a powerful testament to the transformative power of the Gospel and the importance of reaching out to all, regardless of their location or circumstances.

Testimonial of Ms. Kheang Phon

Ms. Kheang Phon’s journey of faith began with a hesitant encounter. During an outreach, she first heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but skepticism held her back. However, a life-altering event soon followed.

Her son fell gravely ill, and fear gripped her heart. Desperate for help, she remembered the words shared during the outreach – the power of Jesus Christ to heal. With a trembling voice, she prayed, “If Jesus is truly God, please heal my son.”

Miraculously, her son began to recover. The illness that had seemed so insurmountable began to recede, leaving Ms. Kheang Phon awestruck. This profound experience shattered her doubts and ignited a deep faith in the power of Jesus Christ. She accepted Him as her Lord and Savior, recognizing His divine intervention in her son’s healing.

Ms. Kheang Phon’s testimony is a powerful reminder that God’s grace can reach even the most skeptical heart, and demonstrates the transformative power of faith and the enduring love of our Savior.

Witnessing the Holy Spirit move amongst the people at these outreaches was truly inspiring. As we shared the Gospel, many responded with open hearts, accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. It was a humbling reminder of the power of God’s grace and the transformative impact of His love.

While the initial response was overwhelming, we understand that this is just the beginning. We are confident that the local pastors will faithfully follow up with these new believers, nurturing their faith and guiding them on their spiritual journey. We are grateful for the privilege of partnering with them in this vital work of spreading the Gospel.
