Day 155: God's Purpose for Us

May your whole spirit, soul and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. So God’s purpose is to make us holy in spirit, soul and body, and to preserve us blameless. But you see what God’s purpose is, it’s to make us totally holy – holy in spirit. That’s a challenge, isn’t it? Paul says, “He that is joined to the Lord is one spirit.” Not one soul. It’s the spirit that’s God-related. You understand? God wants every part of us—spirit, soul and body holy.
