I say two things today in ministry about the baptism in the Holy Spirit and deliverance from evil spirits. I’ve discovered who they are for. The baptism is for the thirsty and deliverance is for the desperate. Some people say to me, ‘Why don’t some people get delivered?’ They’re not desperate. I sometimes tell people, ‘You’re not desperate enough. Come back when you are.’ And you’d be surprised how desperate that makes them. I don’t argue with people theological issues about the baptism. The baptism isn’t for theologians. Jesus said, ‘If any man thirst let him come to Me and drink.’ Bypass the argumentative and go for the thirsty. Bypass the argumentative and go for the desperate. That’s the way God does.
