Jesus promised His disciples they would receive power when the Holy Spirit would come upon them. But did you realise that the Holy Spirit is the sole administrator of the full wealth of the godhead? In John 16:12–15 Jesus says:
“He [the Holy Spirit] shall glorify me; for He shall take of mine, and shall disclose it to you.”
Then He goes on: “All things that the Father has are mine; therefore I said, that He takes of mine, and will disclose it to you.”
So everything that the Father has, Jesus has. The Father and the Son share their total infinite wealth. But the one who reveals and interprets that which the Father and the Son have is the Holy Spirit.
God has a storehouse that is just full of every kind of good thing that we will ever need for time and eternity but the one who keeps the storehouse is the Holy Spirit. So if you want to be rich in the blessings of God, you’d better make friends with the keeper of the storehouse. If you don’t relate rightly to the Holy Spirit you can be legally entitled to the whole inheritance but in actual fact, enjoy nothing of it.
Reflect: If you want to be rich in the blessings of God, you’d better make friends with the keeper of the storehouse. What specific needs do you have today? Ask the Father for His provision through His Spirit.
Dear Holy Spirit, I need You. So often I feel strong in my own capacities, but in reality I have nothing that I have not received from You. Thank You for making everything available to me that I need to live a godly life. Amen.
