Dear Friend,
Imagine feeling lost in your faith—knowing God exists, but unable to sense His presence. In the deepest part of China, that was Sister Wan’s reality for many years. However, about a month ago, she wrote our team a letter that moved us deeply:
“I spent years reading the Bible, participating in church activities. But no matter how hard I tried, I felt more and more distant from God. Then a sister sent me a sermon by Derek Prince about spiritual bondage. As I listened, I started to see patterns in my life—depression, discouragement, failure, and feelings of rejection. I also realized how choices and experiences from my past had affected me—like idol worship and premarital relationships. My church didn’t teach about these struggles. I was stuck in my situation.”
A Dramatic Impact
In a country where faith is now more whispered rather than shouted, Sister Wan had been feeling increasingly hollow inside. All of that changed when a friend took a risk and shared Derek Prince’s teachings with her. Using Derek’s teachings, she also prayed for Sister Wan, and this is what happened:
“My body started to shake, and the shaking got stronger until I cried out and finally calmed down. I was overwhelmed with emotion. Tears poured down my face as I fell to my knees. In that moment, I knew for sure that every word in the Bible was true. Since that time, Derek Prince’s Bible teaching has become a source of strength for me. I’m so grateful to the Lord, because in my long journey, I’ve finally found the Lord.”
Stories like Sister Wan’s show why our outreach in China matters so much. For all of us on the DPM-China team, our hearts yearn to assist countless others who face similar battles and struggles. Right now, believers like Sister Wan are facing immense challenges.
Pressures Are Increasing
There is increasing government pressure against teaching the Bible from church pulpits. Instead, leaders are told to teach the thoughts of Xi Jinping [General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party and foremost leader of China since 2012]. His communist ideology denies the existence of God. Sometimes the security police attend the meetings and enforce these requirements, so believers are forced into secret house groups.
Brother Zhang wrote to our team, saying: “We are really confused about the teaching in the church sometimes, because some pastors deliberately mix the Word of God with Communist teachings. The only option is to study the Bible ourselves. We need good Bible teachers, otherwise we will go astray and get trapped.”
How vital it is to share Derek’s anointed Bible-based messages! Those who receive them, though often untaught themselves, are in position to teach their Chinese brothers and sisters. China is ready for revival, and you can play a key role in helping it to happen.
The Seeds of Revival
Our digital outreach efforts on WeChat and related websites are reaching thousands of Chinese believers daily. Just recently, a single WeChat post was read by over 14,000 people in one day.
Sister Chen wrote to tell us, “We have formed several cell groups to study Derek’s teaching weekly, using his video sermons. We regard Derek Prince’s online teaching as the seed of revival. It is very dark outside, but we are ready for revival.”
Our DPM Chinese YouTube channel has had over 1.8 million views, reaching Chinese communities in over 50 countries. We have also launched a new short video channel in mainland China specifically for the new younger generation inside China.
How You Can Help
Would you prayerfully consider joining forces with our DPM China workers to sustain and expand this vital outreach? It costs $183 per day and $1,300 per week to fund our digital team and maintain our online presence. Your gift of $50 or $100 would help to keep these life-changing teachings available to believers across China.
The impact of your generosity goes beyond the digital world. Last year, thanks to supporters like you, we freely distributed over 281,000 Derek Prince books to spiritually hungry believers in China. Each book costs less than $1 to produce, but their impact is priceless. Just consider how many books a gift of $50 or $100 would bring to the brothers and sisters in China.
As Sister Liu told us, “We can’t get these books anywhere else. They are not for sale, even if we had the money. But everybody needs them, especially church leaders.”
Incredible Opportunities
Along with the digital outreach and the books being supplied by the DPM-China team, our proclamation cards have become treasured resources. Brother Chen recently shared how popular these cards are among youth and children. What a joy to see the seeds of faith being planted in young hearts!
Our audio devices supply Derek’s teaching to those who are less able to read, together with digital copies of the Bible. They only cost $18 per unit.
As I look ahead to 2025, I see both great challenges and incredible opportunities to strengthen the body of Christ in China. Please stand with us in prayer and financial support so we can continue our service to China’s church.
